As a new hire, you have 30 days from your day of hire to select coverage that fits your needs. You won't be able to elect benefits again until Open Enrollment, unless you experience a Qualifying Change in Life Event such as marriage, birth of a child or adoption, or divorce. Review the 2026 Benefits Guide so you can understand your benefits and take steps to ensure coverage.
Who can I enroll in my benefits?
You can enroll:
- Your lawful spouse or domestic partner
- Children under 26 and those of your spouse or domestic partner, including stepchildren, adopted children, or children placed in your home for adoption purposes
- Children incapable of self-support due to mental or physical disability occurring before age 26
- Children of whom you have full legal custody or guardianship
- Any child for whom you have a legal obligation to provide health insurance coverage
What happens if I miss the 30-day deadline?
You will only have company-paid benefits of Basic Life and AD&D, EAP, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability, if eligible. You will not be able to elect benefits again until Open Enrollment or unless you have a Qualifying Change in Life Event.
